Ms. Karin

Karin is a certified dance instructor in Classical Ballet and the Theatrical Arts. Karin has 13 years dance teaching experience and enjoys teaching students from three years of age to adults. She started dancing at the age of five and attended Point Park college as a dance major in Classical Ballet. Karin studied dance extensively and began teaching at Wanda Hamilton's School of Classical Ballet in Bucks County. After successfully completing the program and passing the certification exams, she received her teaching diploma. Having a membership with Dance Educators of America, is a recognized distinction of proven ability and knowledge as a dance teacher, and is governed by a code of strict professional ethics. It is with great pride that Ms. Scogna is a member of this professional organization.

Karin also studied dance in New York with Alexander Flipor, Henry Danton and Joanne Rowan for ballet, Frank Hatchett Debbie Dee, Charles Kelly and Lynda Gache for tap, Janice Raston for Hip-Hop and AnnMarie Leo for children's work and lyrical. Karin attends several dance conferences a year to keep abreast of the ever changing world of dance. WID has been in existence since 1991 and our present location is Karin's third dance studio.

Ms. Judy Judy Ungaro's dance experience has come from performing, teaching and choreographing. She received a BA in Dance/Psychology from Rutgers College. She has danced with Westminster Dance Theater, the Bucks County Dance Company and has been a solo performer at various colleges, ethnic festivals and events. She has choreographed for the Bucks County Dance Company and for the Lorraine County Community College in Ohio.

Her teaching experience has ranged from preschoolers to adults, from beginners to professional dancers. She has been in charge of the Elizabeth Recreation Department Dance Program, has taught for the Union Adult School, the Westfield YM-YMHA and at numerous private studios throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Ms. Paula

Paula has been teaching dance for over 16 years. She started dancing at age 4. She was a student of the Knecht Dance Academy and studied under Fred Knecht for 12 years. Her dance experience includes tap, jazz, musical theatre, ballet and pointe. She was one of the original "Sunshine Girls" that took Dance Master of America by storm and won multiple first place trophies for over 5 years. Along with competing at the age of 12 she taught at the National DMA convention with her teacher.

She also received the Pennsylvania's Governors scholarship to Bucknell University for Dance. Paula has worked as a Performer, Choreographer, and/or Director at the following: Bucks County Playhouse (Dance captain), Keswick Theatre, Wilmington Opera House, Neshaminy Valley Music Theatre, Bristol Riverside Theatre, Sellersville Theatre, Pearl S. Buck Foundation, Villa Victoria, First Night Celebrations in Doylestown, Theatre Arts Center in Queens NY, and numerous private studios. Paula also has studied in NY with Frank Hatchett, Phil Black, Charles Kelly, David Howard, Roni Mahler, and Edward Villella.

Ms. Michele Ms. Michele has been dancing since the early age of 4. She trained under various area dance schools and the American Repertory Ballet School until graduating from high school in 1993. She further developed her love for performing and the stage when she first attended Florida State University to earn her BFA. During this time, she was able to perform with an assortment of ballet companies in Florida, performed and choreographed for charity events, benefits and the American Dance Festival. She also received a full scholarship to the Martha Graham School summer program in NYC. She transferred to Temple University and earned her degree in recreational therapy with a minor in dance. Michele has been fortunate enough to teach at various studios over the past seven years and continues to take classes. Her teaching experience has ranged from preschoolers to adults, from beginners to pre-professional level classes and has been in an array of styles from classical ballet to modern jazz.
